F2P Folder and My Computer panels

You can make files and folders available by dragging them from the My Computer panel onto a folder in the My iPhone F2P Folders panel. Drag the file or folder on top of the F2P Folder you want to put it in.

On the iPhone, the top level folders (Public, Private and Guest) appear as buttons on the opening screen. Click those buttons to open a folder. Your files and folders appear in the list of files available for that folder. Click the blue listing to display a file. If the listing is black, that indicates that the file cannot be displayed.

Note: files and folders dragged onto a My F2P Folder are not changed and are not moved. Files2Phones actually stores a pointer (or link) to the file.

For more information, see Folders.

Monitor

You can make a snapshot of your desktop available through the Private and Guest folders. If you have multiple monitors, you can select which desktop(s) to display. Drag the selected desktop from My Other Image Sources onto a folder in the My iPhone F2P Folders panel.

On the iPhone, the Monitor appears in the list of files available in that folder. Click the blue listing to display it. To update the Monitor, click the blue listing again.

For more information, see Desktop.

WebCam

You can make a webcam snapshot available through the Private and Guest folders. Drag the selected webcam from the My Other Image Sources onto a folder in the My F2P Folder. Then, click Advanced and Webcam to turn on the webcam. To turn off the webcam, close the webcam preview window.

On the iPhone, the webcam display appears in the list of files available in that folder. Click the blue listing to display it. To update the snapshot, click the blue listing again.

For more information, see WebCam.

Time Schedule

You can set a time period when your Files2Phones Access Server is accessible. Click Advanced, then Time Schedule and select the start and stop times. Note that the times cannot span midnight.

This setting affects all files and folders.

For more information, see Time Schedule.

F2P Security Log Panel

The F2P Security Log panel shows a list of current access information, so you know which files have been accessed.

F2P Security Logs are saved as .CSV and .LOG files. You can view the saved .CSV files through the View Security Log option of the File menu.

For more information, see F2P Security Logs.
