WebCam
You can watch your webcam from the iPhone, or send snapshots of webcam images. To do this:
- On your PC, make selected folders webcam-enabled.
Drag the webcam icon from the My Other Image Sources folder onto the Private folder or a Guest folder in the My iPhone F2P Folders panel. If you have multiple webcam devices, each appears in My Other Image Sources as a separate option.
You cannot webcam-enable the Public folder.
- On your PC, turn on the webcam.
Click Advanced, then WebCam. This launches your webcam program and starts running the webcam. A webcam preview window opens on your computer.
If you have more than one webcam device, the Advanced menu lists all the ones that Files2Phones recognizes through Windows. Click the webcam you want to turn on.
Note: if any folder has been webcam-enabled, the webcam turns on automatically when you start the Files2Phones Access Server.
- On the iPhone, view the webcam image.
Go to your myf2p.com address, and click Private or Guest. When prompted, type in the username and password for the selected folder.
To view the webcam in motion, click the webcam icon in the left column of the folder listing.
To see snapshot of a webcam image, click the blue webcam description. You see the snapshot. If you want to email it to someone, click the Email This Snapshot button, type in the address and text you want and click Send.
- On your PC, to stop the webcam on Files2Phones Access Server, close the webcam preview window or click Advanced and the un-check the selected webcam device.
